Editing Basic Settings

The basics of a new meet are very simple.

Most often you will be able to simply create the meet and follow the prompts in the display windows.

Click on the "New Meet" button.

Select the type of race/meet:

  • Cross Country
  • Road Race
  • Outdoor Track & Field
  • Indoor Track & Field
  • Browse for Template
  • Blank Meet

For example purposes, I show the screen that you will be on and then I select "Outdoor Track & Field". You may of course select a different choice to fit your situation.

Select the particular type of meet you wish to conduct, under "Outdoor Track & Field" are:

  • Scholastic (if you are running a school meet)
  • Youth/Club
  • Community
  • Paralympic
  • Special Olympics

Note that you may also skip this step and proceed forward with the meet creation process. If you do so you will receive a dialog box asking what you want to name the meet.

Here is the second screen you will receive.

This screen will look similar for all but "Road Racing" which has no type of meet options.

Next, you need to fill in information about your meet on the following screen:

Fill in all of the information that pertains to your event, including:

  • Meet Name
  • Dates (start and end -- same if a one day meet)
  • Location
  • City
  • State from drop down choices
  • Country

Choose all divisions that apply including:

  • College/University
  • Varsity
  • Junior Varsity
  • Freshman
  • Middle School
  • Junior High
  • Elementary

Click on Finish.

This will put you in the meet Setup tab where you can continue with the meet setup including editing information in the following areas:

  • Meet Information
  • Additional Info
  • Scoring and Timing Options
  • Security and Sharing

That screen will look like this:
