Create a Road Race
From RaceTab Community Wiki
To create a road race:
- open RaceTab
- follow instructions in Basic Settings page but select "Road Race" to create a Road Race (doing so will change the way RaceTab acts in some ways, for example, results reports will show hometown instead of team when Road Race is the selected event.
- create age groups
- settings tab
- choose groups
- add group or edit existing group by creating a title (common to use the years 01-14, 15-19, etc. in the title)
- set the age range for each group
- click save (see above)
- add or edit athletes to add birth date or age
- Note: athletes already in the system are automatically added to the appropriate age group
You should now be ready to run your race.
Results Settings:
- enter bibs and times as per usual post race procedure that you follow
- score the event (or re-score if applicable)
- click on publish tab (or results this event)
- click customize in upper right of results window
- tick off one gender (Male or Female)
- Under Customize of Report under Options choose Separate by: "Group" in the down (see image above).
- Click save as in the upper corner of the results window to save that report. I have one saved as girls road race results and one saved as boys road race results.
