RunScore
From RaceTab Community Wiki
Overview
RunScore is a program that was originally designed in DOS that was ported to Windows in 2000. It supports cross country and road races, but not track & field. It is extremely flexible as far as being able to design your own form layouts and other customizable options. On the down-side, its interface is archaic-looking, keyboard heavy, and customizations require some computer savvy. Nonetheless, it is extremely popular with road races--possibly the most popular in the world--and supports a large variety of timing systems.
The program was designed by Alan Jones of New York starting in 1985. It is a client-server application, which means it is more complex in that layout as well: it has separate client and server applications that must run. The server application needs to run in the main computer where the data lives. The client application can run on the same computer and also on other computers--accessing the same server--so that multiple networked computers can be used to administer the meet.
