Scoring Options - Cross Country and Road Racing

Chip Timing?
Set if you want to have chip numbers for athletes and whether you are doing one or two per athletes.
Scoring Style
Standard - Normal scoring with 1 point for first, 2 points for second, etc.
Total Time and Average Time - They actually work out placings identically either way, but you can do team placings by time rather than points.
We are entertaining adding more XC "creative" or non-traditional scoring options.
Number of Scorers
- Scorers Per Team - How many athletes will score points for each team.
- Displacers Per Team - This can be confusing at first... it must be MORE than scorers per team. It should be the number of scorers + the number of pushers. So typically this is 7. Any athletes over that number will be thrown out.
- Score unattached runners - If there are unnatached runners, teams without the minimum number of athletes to score, or other non-scorers should they displace points or not.
Use Actual Time in Results
This is usually irrelevant. It only comes into play if you are doing waves or a chip start time. It says whether to use the clock time or the adjusted time (sometimes called "chip time") in the results.
